Hours: Part-time & Full-time available
Pay: $20/hour

The Rover is responsible for the hour-to-hour supervision of the Bozeman Hot Springs campus, including both the Hot Springs facility and campground areas. This position serves as the eyes and ears of the property, maintaining safety, assisting guests, and identifying potential issues. Rovers are responsible for communicating safety concerns, incidents, and operational needs to leadership. Rovers must demonstrate strong attention to detail, situational awareness, decision-making skills, and maintain professional and courteous interactions with both guests and staff. 

Tasks include but are not limited to:  

  • Communication: Communicate with the Hospitality Director, Shift Supervisor, and other Rovers of potential disturbances, pool temperatures, and incidents/medical emergencies. 
  • Outdoor SupervisionOutdoor supervision is the most crucial part of the roving position. The rovers are the eyes and ears of the facility. They should observe any issues and communicate those with the supervisor/director on duty. When outside, the rover is responsible for furniture, patio cleanliness, and crowd control.  
  • Enforce Rules & Regulations: be very familiar with the rules and regulations of the premises. Be able to enforce these rules and regulations comfortably.  
  • Training Structure: Assist in training of new Rovers.  
  • Lost and Found: Bring any items left behind to the lost and found, put in the hamper to be washed or in its proper bucket.  
  • Responsibility of Uniform: All Rovers will be given a specific uniform. You are required to show up to each shift wearing the appropriate attire.   
  • Pool Temps: Every hour on the hour pool temps are required to be taken and recorded in the temp log. Knowledge on how to adjust temps is required.  
  • Towel Runs: Continually stock folded towels in pool area and membership locker room. Collect dirty towels and put them in towel bins. Periodically do towel bin runs.  
  • Cleanliness: Ensure the facility is looking up to par with health code standards and standards of the Management Team. This can include picking up garbage, rearranging furniture, and collecting left towels.  
  • Awareness: Awareness of the facility is the main task of the Rover. You must be aware of who is in the pools, what is happening in the locker rooms, and constantly keeping an eye and an effort to make our facility the safest it can be.  
  • Right to Refuse: Maintain the right to refuse service to any belligerent or intoxicated guest. Hold people up to the standards of the Hot Springs’ policies and set an example for others.  

Requirements:

  • Minimum one year customer service experience
  • Able to lift 50 pounds

All other duties as required by the Hospitality Director. Duties and tasks are subject to change without prior notification as needed.
