The Bozeman Hot Springs is a proud host and sponsor of the Tom Duffy Helping Hearts Legacy, whose mission is to provide immediate, ongoing support to sudden widows and widowers along with their families living in the Gallatin Valley. They understand the overwhelming challenges that come from losing a loved one. We are here to help bridge the gap, offering both emotional and practical assistance. Whether it’s through financial aid, community resources, or simply a comforting presence, we strive to be a beacon of hope for those in need.

Their Story

Tom Duffy died on August 24, 2020, leaving his wife and three children. They had the support of family, church, and the city of Bozeman to help them get through this time. His wife, Robyn, knew she wanted to be able to give back to those who are going through the hurt that she did.

While it is fortunate that this type of tragedy does not happen often, it can leave the spouse and children feeling alone and very different than everyone else. Creating a community of people with similar stories really allows them to have a space to be real, ask questions or just say nothing because they know these other people already know what they’re going through.

Who You’re Helping

No spouse or child should be left on their own after a sudden loss. Helping Hearts is here to provide a lasting community of support for those left behind. Through the Tom Duffy Families and the Tom Duffy College Scholarship, we extend a helping hand to recent widows in the Gallatin Valley with school-aged children at home. Our goal is to not only help at the time of the tragedy, but the entire year after the loss of a loved one. With your help, we will have boots on the ground helping those in need with chores around the house, birthday gifts, counseling and more.
