This 6-week challenge is designed to help set you up with the tools to maximize your discipline, increase your self-image, and prioritize your health – even when life gets in the way. April Move of the Month

Straight arm pull down

Having a hard time finding a good exercise for the lats? Give the straight arm pulldown a try! As an accessory move, this exercise is great for not just the lats but the triceps as well:
  • To do this move correctly, start out with the machine set so that the bar is at chest level or higher and grab the bar with your palms down.
  • From there, make sure that you have a bend in the knees and you lock your core in place while leaning slightly forward.
  • Make sure not to bend your arms as you pull the bar down to your thighs and then back up to the start position, keeping the bar controlled throughout.
  • Another important piece to remember is that you focus on contracting your lats and pinching your shoulder blades as you move the bar.
Give this move a try and let us know what you think!
