From his early beginnings playing in bands in high school and college, to fronting Chicago-based band Vintage Blue, all the way to captivating audiences at Summerfest and Mile of Music, Bassett has “embraced the selflessness of contentment”. His musical journey has been one of authenticity and emotional storytelling.

Bassett’s musical style can be described as a fusion of alternative rock, folk, and singer-songwriter influences. Through his captivating performances, he creates an intimate atmosphere that allows the focus to be on the profound lyrics and the powerful emotions they evoke. Benny has played over 1,100 shows in seven countries and 47 U.S. States. He has driven over 600,000 miles and is primed for another season of performances across the United States in the Summer of 2025.
